Biography / HOWNOSM

The identical twin brothers Raoul and Davide Perre, also known as HowNosm are based in New York and are world-renowned for their large-scale graffiti based murals that adorn city walls around the world. HowNosm’s art is featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.

In the beginning, the twins first encountered graffiti as young teenagers. Skateboarding and tagging were the influences until aerosol cans were introduced. Back in the days, the twins earned their stripes painting names on trains together. Today, the limited palette and complex compositions in all their work are visually mesmerising, but once the viewer is over the magnitude of the accomplishment, the activities within the artwork keep you coming back for more. The size of their work is a true testament to the defiant art of graffiti.
