Vom 13. \u2013 19. Mai hat sich die Cr\u00e8me de la Cr\u00e8me der internationalen Street Art Szene in Berlin versammelt und im Zuge des Berlin Mural Fest graue Fassaden in einmalige Kunstwerke verwandelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vier W\u00e4nde wurden unter der Leitung von URBAN NATION Direktorin Yasha Young von acht renommierten Street Artist gestaltet. Unter dem Motto \u201eUNITY\u201c haben die K\u00fcnstler entweder allein oder in Kooperation die ONE WALLS gestaltet und damit sowohl politisch, als auch k\u00fcnstlerisch ein Zeichen gesetzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denn trotz der verschiedenen Motive, der jeweils daf\u00fcr genutzten Techniken und Materialien verfolgen und thematisieren alle Werke den UNITY-Gedanken: Gemeinsamkeiten statt Unterschiede thematisieren und die Kernbotschaft von URBAN NATION „All Nations under one Roof!“ zu visualisieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collage-like images of the graffiti artist are now her trademark. The ONE WALL in Wienerstra\u00dfe 42 bears the title „We are many, but allways one“ and shows important women from different historical eras. Although each one stands alone, but together they stand for timeless debates on women’s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SNIK and NUNO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the ONE Wall in Ostseestra\u00dfe 18, the British artist duo SNIK and the Dutch artist Nuno were inspired by Mary statues in old Italian churches and created a contemporary interpretation. The work, titled „Everything Connected“, was ultimately crowned by Nuno in the truest sense of the word, the highest honor among writers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two Dutchmen Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzmann, together with Berlin-based artist James Bullough, designed the fa\u00e7ade on Bernburger Stra\u00dfe 35 layer by layer. On display is a person that is composed of the body parts of people from all over the world and the different nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, a mural typical of the Italian artist has been decorating the fa\u00e7ade of the house on Luckauerstra\u00dfe 12. Large childlike characters, seemingly surreal, whom he himself describes as the purest part of himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
