Geboren (1983) und aufgewachsen ist Seth Armstrong in Los Angeles. Sp\u00e4ter zog er in die San Francisco Bay Area, wo er seine k\u00fcnstlerische Ausbildung und Karriere begann. Er machte seinen Bachelor of Fine Arts am California College of Arts. W\u00e4hrend seines Studiums in Holland verliebte er sich in die haptische Qualit\u00e4t von \u00d6lfarben und die Art und Weise, wie sie das Licht einfangen. Die realistische und zugleich melodramatische Atmosph\u00e4re seiner Werke geht auf seine kreative Karriere als Illustrator zur\u00fcck.
