URBAN NATION X SMARTIFY – The Digital Museum

As one of the first museums in Germany, the URBAN NATION MUSEUM FOR URBAN CONTEMPORARY ART builds the bridge between the analogue museum and the digital world through its cooperation with the museum-app SmARTify.
Utilizing the free app is a consistent continuation of the interactive concept of the new exhibition “UN-DERSTAND THE POWER OF ART AS A SOCIAL ARCHITECT” curated by Yasha Young and another milestone in building a network of a global community thrilled by contemporary urban art.
Visitors to the museum can now download the free app in German and English in the Google Play Store for Android or for IOS in the Apple App Store and receive additional information about selected artworks and artists in the museum.
The handling is very easy! After downloading, simply activate the app and scan one of the more than 60 artworks in the museum. The image recognition software of the app recognizes the corresponding work and displays the additional information conveniently on the smartphone.
The app is also interesting for anyone who does not have time to visit the museum or live too far away! After all, all the information about the artists and works of art is available after the download of the app without a scan and thus enables a virtual walk through the museum.
