While New York artist Peter Missing was busy creating our latest Community Wall in Schöneberg, we took the opportunity to ask him about his beginnings in Germany in the 1990s, his working process, and the differences and similarities between New York City and Berlin.
The neighborhood in Bülowstraße, surrounding the URBAN NATION Museum, is in a constant state of change. Again and again you get to know new neighbors, stores and cafés. And just as regularly, you can discover our new, impressive murals! No sooner is one work of art completed than we are already planning the next one.
One aspect of the Community Walls is that the residents of the neighborhood, and of course anyone else who is interested, can look over the artists’ shoulders as they work. To offer this opportunity also to those art lovers who are not in Berlin, we have asked the New York artist Peter Missing four questions.
