Unique designs with stencils

On October 7, 2023, the URBAN NATION Museum once again hosted KinderKulturMonat, this time with a stencil workshop for children aged 10 to 12, led by Imed Art. The workshop started with an interactive part as well as an introduction to stencils and how to use them for drawing, cutting, coloring and spraying.

Some kids were already familiar with street art or different spraying techniques. For others, it was initially difficult to get involved with the tasks. Eventually, they all succeeded in creating a simple but unique design, cutting it out and spraying it on their personal t-shirts and bags. The children were thrilled to be able to do this independently with little supervision. They enjoyed their new skills in using stencils and the step-by-step techniques that can be implemented without any prior experience.

KinderKulturMonat is a cultural initiative where children ages 4 to 12 can experience a colorful program of arts and culture every weekend in October. Creative workshops, interactive tours and performances are developed by cultural institutions for KinderKulturMonat. That way, all conceivable aspects of art and culture are celebrated with children.
