Floating Mural by Jakob der Bruder

The artwork by Jakob der Bruder for the Floating Murals series at the Bülow Street Festival is characterized by a mixture of innovation and reflection that deals with the theme of “Medival Mood”.

“For me, ‘de-construct to construct’ means taking apart existing structures, ideas, or systems to reassemble them in an improved form,” the artist explains. His work critically questions and breaks existing patterns, creating space for progress and artistic innovation. Without this process, no true evolution can occur—a concept that lies at the heart of his artistic vision.

In this mural, Jakob der Bruder translates this philosophy into a medieval-inspired visual language, merging historical aesthetics with contemporary artistic techniques.
