Floating Mural by Manuel Skirl

The Vienna-based artist Manuel Skirl, @sskirl, contributed a distinct piece to the Floating Murals series at the Bülow Street Festival, showcasing his refined style that bridges graffiti influences with precision and craftsmanship.

Characterized by organic structures of black and blue looping lines, Skirl’s work often blurs the boundaries between abstraction and motion. His background as an engraver adds a layer of technical precision to the raw energy inherited from his graffiti roots. The resulting forms evoke patterns reminiscent of both natural structures and the urban environment.

Skirl’s mural exemplifies his ability to create pieces that are not static but appear dynamic and evolving, leaving a lasting impression through their unique interplay of chaos and control.
