Workshop “Mix it. Shake it. Spray it.” – Science meets Urban Art

The Experimentierwerkstatt Berlin at the URBAN NATION Museum starts on September 7, 2025.

The free and open workshop combines creative design with scientific discovery. Children and young people build their own spray bottle from everyday and harmless materials. A chemical reaction creates overpressure in the bottle. Just like with a real spray can, the children and young people create a unique work of art.

The basics of chemistry, physics and art are taught in a playful way: Creation of pressure, color mixing, layering, visual effects – and all of this to do yourself.

“Mix it. Shake it. Spray it.” is an educational program that combines creativity with STEM subjects and social participation. The aim is to give children aged 7 and over from the neighborhood and all of Berlin access to creative work and science education – low-threshold, empowering and fun to discover.
