Biography / Age Age

Hannes Höhlig, also known as Age Age, was born in Ludwigsfelde in 1983 and grew up in Falkensee, a suburb of Berlin. His first contact with graffiti and street art at the end of the 1990s laid the foundation for his further work. His first attempts with spray cans began around 1998 and were classified as classic graffiti lettering.

In 2005, he moved to Düsseldorf to study communication design. There he developed his skills and expanded his graphic and illustrative knowledge, among other things in the construction of three-dimensional figures made of wood. With one of his first exhibitions in the “Pretty Portal”, the decision was also made to fully pursue the artistic career and, after successfully completing his studies, to move back to Berlin and fully exploit this playground there.

In the following years, the city of Berlin was the base for journeys around the globe with the goal: large murals!
Large and elaborate commercial works on house facades and fire walls in Berlin and the surrounding area offered parallel opportunities to earn a living with it and thus quickly became the main task. But Age Age also found the opportunity to share his knowledge in the social sphere and to have a positive effect on future generations. In workshops, in all variations, the artist shows his facets today and imparts various techniques to all who are interested.

The mural Streethouse Unlimited transforms the façade of the youth center Streethouse into a vibrant and community-driven artwork. Developed by the artist AGE AGE in close collaboration with local youth during an on-site workshop, the mural reflects collective ideas and lived experiences. Through this participatory process, themes of identity, diversity, and a strong sense of community were translated into a dynamic visual narrative.
