Biography / ARTY & CHIKLE

Little is known about the Mexican duo Arty&Chikle and yet their artwork has been revered and seen across the world from graffiti to digital illustration, custom toys, paintings, logos and graphic design in general; they are fully decided to make their dreams come true and have fun while doing it. Arty&Chikle’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.

The two artists met and decided to work together for the first time; after noticing several similarities in each other’s artwork and how well their styles could be mixed, they finally teamed up. The duo consists of a graffiti writer, who started illustrating and an illustrator who made an arrival into street art and both have created a whole universe where animals and monsters are the main characters. Working together has allowed them to experiment with different graphic styles, colour schemes, compositions and concepts, in order to grow as artists to a level they didn’t imagine before.
