Björn Heyn is a Berlin-based artist, whose work creates humorous surfaces for unfolding biographical questions of being human. His pieces delve into moments of freedom from which we ordinarily restrain ourselves.
His artistic works are like people themselves: they are routinely about understanding and being understood, but at the same time misunderstanding is the norm. Björn Heyn’s art undermines the relevance of an ultimate answer to the big questions, opening up our conflicted world to the eternal, childish sensations and emotions.
His work “SELBSTBILDNIS – SELF IMAGE” is on display in the current exhibition “Talking…& Other Banana Skins”.
