Since the early 1990s graffiti writer, visual artist and musician Cern from New York expresses his perspectives on life in murals, canvases and mostly cooperative installations. His works are featured as a part of the opening of the URBAN NATION Museum in 2017.
Often showing imagery of women, animals and abstract shapes and forms, Cern’s artworks and murals can today be seen throughout South America, Europe, South Africa and of course the US, as he was born in Queens, New York City, and still lives and works in Brooklyn. His art “comprises of both abstract, smooth, blended lines with elements of clearly defined edges, his style is strong and consistent, albeit hard to pin down”, as has been written about the artist whose work has been featured at the San Diego Museum of Art, Museu Brasileiro de Escultura in Sao Paulo or at the MOCA in Los Angeles.
