One of Australia’s favorite street art artist goes by the name of Fintan Magee. Born in Lismore New South Wales, he is best known for his mural art. His unreal, metaphorical artwork can be found not only on the walls throughout Australia but throughout the world. Fintan has collaborated with URBAN NATION by contributing his works on a One Wall project in 2015.
Fintan obtained his BFA at Griffith University, QCA in 2009, but he earned his global recognition as graffiti artist even before this. He has been in several publications like ‘The Urban Contemporary Art Guide’, ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’, ‘U magazine’, had done a few art residences, numerous group and solo exhibitions. This ‘Australian Banksy’ focuses on topics that often deal with environmental issues. He uses personal stories when he wants to talk about climate changes and the migration crisis. Thus he always searches for isolated, abandoned and destroyed parts of a city. His beautiful large-scale murals are always integrated within the urban environment. Hence, this big name artist sends exactly that message.
