Glenn Barr kicked off his artistic career in high school, having made a name for himself with early drawings and paintings, he received first commissions from his classmates. After these first successes, he went off into the freelance world, working as a graphic novel illustrator and collaborating on the nightmarish animations for the ‘Ren and Stimpy Show’. Today, he is known for art that he calls ‘B Culturalism’ paintings of post-apocalyptic urban dreamscapes, populated with surreal and tragic characters. Barr’s paintings are mesmerising in both, technical perfection and storytelling.
