His life experience and undoubtedly his personal interest in observing people makes his artwork so deep, so detailed and allows the creation of such illustrative characters. One can say that he knows his characters inside out. The startling point comes when one notices his ability to combine the characters mind, background, culture, their fears, their judgments and their judgment of the judgment and sees symbolism and gesture into the portraits. His works of latex on craft paper shows his interest to explore family issues and dynamics. Nohjcoley’s artwork transmits as many messages as many as the individuals he observes.
