Yis Goodwin, also known as Noségo is an artist from Philadelphia. His style can best be described as fine arts with a street art state of mind. His paintings and murals are playful renderings of abstract moments that dive deep into the subconscious. Noségo collaborated with URBAN NATION on Project M/4 in 2014.
Goodwin’s education at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) is what ultimately triggered his interest in the art form that is graffiti. At the time, graffiti gave him a voice that his education in the classical arts had muted. Today, Noségo is no stranger to both, the aerosol can as well as the paintbrush. His artworks are colourful and vibrant images of smaller objects or animals put together to form a bigger picture, compositions, often bordering on surrealism.
