The Swiss artist collective Schwarzmaler was founded in 2008, consist of the creative roots of the seven young graphic artists and designers can be found in the graffiti culture. Characterized by the typical forms and techniques of this style, the colourful palette of the collective now ranges from graphic designs, to illustrations and contemporary art. The works of Schwarzmaler are featured as a part of the opening of the URBAN NATION Museum in 2017.

The young Swiss collective moves away from the ubiquitous hype around the term ‘Urban Art’ with its own, unmistakable signature. The young artists focus on quality and set off to new horizons with the credo of the individual uniqueness of each crewmember. At the interface between graphics and art, they run riot and deliver products at a technically sophisticated level. In design and implementation, they set no limits and are always open to individual projects and new ideas.
In addition to the orders for exhibitions, events and graphic designs, the black painters engage in non-commercial areas for cultural purposes.
