SELFMADECREW, founded by OSTAP in 2015, experiments with transforming spaces and surfaces. The use of new media such as tape enables them to reinterpret the space around them.
In addition, Selfmadecrew reinterprets “classical” urban styles and techniques (murals, stencils, graffiti) into a dynamic work using tape resulting in a new more complex visual language. In public, Selfmadecrew’s work is mostly murals, on windows and facades. Not all of their work is for display on the streets, many of their pieces are installed in interior spaces on canvases and on lightboxes. Selfmadecrew dedicated themselves to the artistic transformation of spaces by addressing the relationship between place and people within them.
