Remo Lienhard, known as Wes21, is an illustrator and designer. Born in Biel, Switzerland, he began with a particular interest in painting which developed to other techniques and mediums, such as large scale murals, canvases and 3D sculptures, Wes21 has been part of several URBAN NATION projects, including a One Wall, Wall/Therapy (NY) and is also part of the class of 2018 in the URBAN NATION Artist in Residence Programme.
Wes21 is part of the collective ‘SCHWARZMALER’ and often teams up with fellow artist ‘ONUR’. Since his graduation from College of Art & Design in Biel, he develops his style with each painting or sculpture – always adding an unpredictable side to what’s typically expected of contemporary artists. Successfully capturing a moment, whether real or imaginary, his detailed works are unquestionably stunning in nature, taking us to an artistic world unlike no other. He is constantly working on developing his unique visual language that separates his work.
