We invite children and young people to an exciting workshop. Together with the artist Polina Soloveichik, we will artistically design our bird feed houses which will be specially built for the workshop. Here every little artist can let their artistic imagination and creativity run free. Polina will support each of the children to realize their beautiful ideas.

Polina Soloveichik is an artist and muralist living in Berlin. Her works can be seen on large and small walls all over the world. She is also known for her paintings for children. Being a mother herself she slowly but surely began to glimpse and relive the dreamy reality and the real dreams that children inhabit. Each of her kids murals is designed and hand-painted uniquely for a child and their little kingdom.

Why bird feed houses?

It is winter. It is an incomparable experience for children and teenagers to be able to observe native wild birds closely at a feeding place. Such experiences are important to develop an interest in the ecological context and to gain respect for nature.

Many birds do not survive the winter without additional feeding by us. But unfortunately the food is often not species-appropriate and rather harms the birds. Therefore we are pleased to welcome the NABU – Naturschutzbund Deutschland – at our Bird House Workshop. They will explain to the little bird house artists what birds are allowed to eat in winter and how to feed them best. Each child can take home the perfect food for their new bird feed house as well.

We are very much looking forward to this really exciting workshop and to all registrations.
