Art class 2.0 – URBAN NATION BECOMES A CLASSROOM
- April 11, 2018
URBAN NATION is more than just a museum and sees itself as a platform for exchange between nations and generations. The visit should not only inform, but also inspire and encourage discussion.
Every day, up to 600 people from all over the world visit the museum, look at the works of art, take part in exclusive tours or become artistically active themselves in one of the workshops.
At the beginning of April we had a visit from students of the college Jules Verne de Saint Hilaire Harcouet en Normandie. The students of Madame D’Esconnu had insisted to visit in addition to the Reichstag, Museumsinsel and Co the URBAN NATION MUSEUM FOR URBAN CONTEMPORARY ART in Berlin.
The art class was simply moved from the classroom to the museum. Instead of the old masters, there were contemporary street art artists who, after an acknowledged tour of director Yasha Young, peu à peu get transferred by the students from canvas to paper. The pupil really enjoyed this kind of art education and we are grateful for such interested visitors.
