URBAN NATION and the Griessmuehle to drive a truck together at this year’s Christopher Street Day

The URBAN NATION MUSEUM FOR URBAN CONTEMPORARY ART, the flagship project from Stiftung Berliner Leben, stands for a tolerant, open, and equal society and contributes to a common understanding amongst one another with art and social projects. Fitting to the current exhibition theme “UNIQUE. UNITED. UNSTOPPABLE.”, on July 28th, URBAN NATION will show its support at CSD for the first time together with one of the most popular clubs in Berlin, the Griessmuehle, and join the parade with its own truck. The URBAN NATION truck will be designed by the well-known urban artist duo, the Nomad Clan, under the curation of Museum Director Yasha Young.

“We are very proud and very much looking forward to participating at this year’s CSD together with the Griessmuehle and a huge truck. True to our conviction and our values, we want to raise awareness in society of our motto ‘All people under one roof’ even further. Because diversity is a gift,” says Yasha Young, Director of the URBAN NATON MUSEUM. David C. Ciura, Managing Director of the Griessmuehle, also sees an inspiring exchange in the cooperation: “Whoever has come and seen us at the Griessmuehle knows that we are more than just a dancing temple for electronic music, concerts, movies, markets, and all kinds of street art – we see ourselves as an oasis for culture lovers. Our political statement at the CSD is about powerful creativity derived from music and urban art.”

The truck will hit the road on July 28th at 12 PM.  The route will guide all kinds of trucks from Kurfürstendamm to the Brandenburg Gate. More information can be found here: http://csd-berlin.de/

Yasha Young and Nomad Clan are available for interviews. If interested in doing a report, we kindly ask you to make contact in advance via pr@urban-nation.com.
