Floating Mural by RMYR

RMYR’s contribution to the Floating Murals series at the Bülow Street Festival pays homage to the overlooked beauty of industrial structures. Once integral to the urban landscape, factories, machinery, and constructions are now often seen as disruptive or go unnoticed. Yet, as @rmyr.stencils highlights, these remnants of industrialization reveal their own unique aesthetic, especially when observed in relation to their surroundings.

The mural draws inspiration from the structure of a religious triptych, traditionally found in churches, to elevate the understated elegance of industrial forms. This approach invites viewers to consider these human-made “artworks” from a fresh perspective, sparking unexpected associations and emotions.

RMYR’s piece challenges us to rethink how we perceive and value the remnants of our industrial past, encouraging a deeper appreciation of their interaction with the urban environment.
