Biography / Berlin Kidz

Berlin Kidz are an admirable group of sprayers, train surfers, parkour runners and artists from Berlin-Kreuzberg. Their style is recognizable by the large-format vertical letter in a Brazilian Pichação style. This group is also famous for making guerrilla actions to send a message.  Berlin Kidz have collaborated with URBAN NATION by contributing their works on a One Wall project in 2017.

Berlin Kidz is an incredibly motivated group of young, strong individuals who spray-paint on skyscraper facades, suburban train, or do crazy things with their bikes. They document every of their adrenaline-driven action. Their art can be seen on high buildings, like the Postbank Center, a building in Steglitz and many more spots. Simply because they choose to use the highest points in a building makes it impossible to draw something. Maybe that is one of the reasons why they have decided to use typography and lettering instead. They always use two colours and both with a specific meaning. Blue is for freedom and it is a colour that makes one feel nice and red is associated with blood and it is a bit more stronger colour for the eye and metaphorically as well. Both are called Yin and Yang. Berlin Kidz stand for justice and against the one thing that controls the world ‘money’, they stand for freedom.
