Biography / DXTR

DXTR is a visual artist and illustrator based in Berlin. His work straddles the boundaries between street art, graphic design, and painting. He brings his detailed compositions, dynamic characters, and precisely crafted forms to murals, canvases, and prints. His works combine technical precision with playful energy, creating visual worlds that oscillate between comics, pop culture, and abstract symbolism.

In terms of content, DXTR reflects on themes such as community, urbanity, and cultural identity, often broken up by humorous or surreal narratives. Stylistically, he combines influences from classical illustration with the aesthetics of street art and a clear, graphic sense of form.

The stage name DXTR—derived from “Dexter,” Latin for “right” or “skillful”—refers to an attitude of precision, but also of playful skill: a balance between control and spontaneity, between structure and chaos.

As a member of the street art collective THE WEIRD, DXTR is part of an international scene of collaborative and cross-genre art practice. His work is rooted in urban culture and collaborative processes, with each piece revealing the tension between individual style and collective energy.

The mural depicts a composition of pixelated plants, animals, and geometric shapes floating in a bright blue environment. In bold, contrasting colors—orange, red, turquoise, yellow, and pink—abstract motifs unfold, reminiscent of digital icons, early computer graphics, and comic book characters.
