Sebastian Wandl, or better known simply as ‘Wandl’ is a German artist from Munich known for his subtle styling of portraits on paints or via graphics, he imbues urban art styles with his experiences as an illustrator. Wandl’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.

With a formal education from the Freie Kunstwerkstatt in Munich and prior experiences from travelling the world, Sebastian Wandl revelation of becoming an artist came in 2011 and has focused on that since. His works feature an image almost resembling a bust or sculpture and characters of surrealism creates a specific translation, which invokes tension, but at the same time, creates a tranquil and precise works of art.

For Wandl, the notion of creativity has always peaked his interest as he took on his interests for form, colour and imaginations. This then developed into amazing, realistic images of people of all different shapes and sizes.
