Ståle Gerhardsen Is a Norwegian artist who comes from Trondheim, Norway. His art comes through the mediums of painting, drawings, prints, and builds, designs and spray paints to create his playful artworks. Gerhardsen’s works can be found on their collaboration with URBAN NATION on Project M/13 in 2018 and was one of the pop-up artists of the URBAN NATION Biennale in 2019.
Having worked in the design and advertising industry. Ståle has worked as an Art Director, Illustrator and Teacher and has now chosen to go down the route of being an artist. His works breathes a blanket of happiness and relaxation to the viewer, joyous colourful people doing everyday tasks, the works sharing a close similarity to illustrator Nick Sharratt and animator Numero6. With the usages of bright colours that draw attention to the eye along side the perceived activity of the subjects.
Ståle’s rule is, ‘If it’s fun, I’ll do it!’ a rule which a lot of artists seem to have forgotten over time, at the very least, the works of Ståle Gerhardsen’s are sure to give a feeling of content.
