Biography / TOMSTA

Thomas “TOMSTA” Leichum (*1981, Vienna) showed a strong interest in drawing and painting from an early age. In the late 1990s, he discovered the spray can as a medium, which he has continued to work with ever since.

A central motif in his work is the monkey, which he has continuously developed and which has become his signature.
As a self-taught artist, TOMSTA avoids a fixed stylistic classification. His visual language in style writing is in constant development, and he transfers this openness particularly to his canvas works.

Since early 2019, TOMSTA has been active at the 21erGallery in Berlin. There, he is primarily responsible for curating the walls, organizing graffiti jams, and executing projects, actively shaping the gallery’s creative environment.
