Biography / Xenz

Over the past 30 years, he has developed his own an experimental style combining depth and illusion, painting enchanted landscapes and dream-like worlds. Fascinated by nature and specifically birds as well as inspiration from books and movies documenting New York’s subculture of the 80’s, early into his career Xenz (pronounced ‘Sense’) started to develop his own style, painting abstract, nature-inspired landscapes, capturing fragmental imagery from his memory. Toying with depth and perspective, his murals often seem like they interact with the surface they were given life on. With years of experience under his belt, having developed his own, magical style, Xenz, who studied textile design at Edinburgh’s College of Art, has had sell-out solo shows in London and was part of several exhibitions in Europe and overseas.
