His art can be seen from a number of mediums from spray paint, to stickers, to posters and stencils. D*Face’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.
D*Face grew up in London and had a childhood interest in graffiti. His first interactions and experiences are down to Henry Chalfant’s documenting of subway graffiti in ‘Spraycan’ and ‘Subway Art’. As a teenager, skateboarding and it’s culture led his interest in stickers and the DIY approach associated with the skate and punk subculture.
He began his career in art over 15 years ago on the streets by hand-drawing stickers and posters, sticking them all over the streets of London. He attended an illustration and design course and worked as a freelance illustrator/designer whilst at the same time improving upon his street art works. D*Face is known to be one of the most respected figures to rise from the British Urban Contemporary Art scene, with a consistent presence during is rise to mainstream culture.
