Biography / Sepe

Michał ‘Sepe’ Wręga, born in Warsaw, Poland in 1982 is a graphic designer, illustrator and painter. Raised on the traditional graffiti movement, he has painted walls across the world in various countries such as Germany, France and Russia via spray paint, paintbrush and roller. Sepe’s works are featured in the URBAN NATION 2018 exhibition, ‘UN-DERSTAND The Power of Art as a Social Architect’.

A graduate in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź in 2009, with his roots in graffiti, book illustration and by his studies in graphic and poster design, Sepe is looking for his own syntax in individual art by mixing those three mediums via paper, canvas and walls.

Sepe’s views on the present day, emphasises the contradictory situation that is modern society, where images of kittens and puppies are shared amongst millions whilst the entirety of human knowledge is amassed on the same platform; and social media making individuals more lonely and the increasing desperation for acknowledgement from others to be satisfied.

Sepe’s artwork “THE LEFTOVERS” is also featured in the current exhibition “Talking…& Other Banana Skins“.
