Addison’s works are closely attributed to prepress printing and colour theory. Evolving from blank slates, to paper, canvas, installations and integration into public spaces. Karl’s works are featured as a part of the opening of URBAN NATION Museum in 2017.
With a signature style that employs hatch drawing, Karl’s work uses fine lines and details that create diminutive creations that unfold into large-scale expressive murals, each stroke of colour, breathing life and vibrancy to his work. The majority of Addison’s works have figurative connotations attached and beckons its inspiration from the surrounding community and content in the form of his subjects.
With his work, his aim is to expand the viewer’s understanding of the context, structures & surfaces they occupy, thus, adding life. His work aims towards a balance between the meticulous harmony and the environment that precedes it.
