Biography / Ernest Zacharevic

Originating from Lithuania, Ernest Zacharevic combines fine art techniques with a passion for creating art outdoors. His pieces often combine a mural background with objects in front of them through an intermediary piece of art. Selected works can be found in Zacharevic’s collaboration with URBAN NATION on Project M/3 in 2014.

Zacharevic’s art education started at an art school as a child and was pursued at art academy with an education in graphic arts. He did not find this education inspiring, though it was through graffiti that kept his creative spirit alive during these times. After finishing his classical training, Ernest began to place his works in the public space: the combination of found objects with murals defined his artistic expression from a very early stage. His mixed media outdoor artworks have gained him a lot of recognition from the international urban art scene, the great thing about his art is that his playful artistic concept of mixing real-world objects with paintings in often satirical interactions also works indoors. This is due to the notion that one can never confine an anarchic spirit to one environment, even if it’s the great outdoors.
