Jim Avignon lives and works in Berlin. He is a painter, musician, illustrator and concept artist. His work is located in Pop-Art. In May/June 2020 he created a ONE WALL for URBAN NATION at Artpark Tegel.
Since the 1980s, he has been producing art like on an assembly line, up to 4.37 works per day according to his own statements. His works have pop-cultural references, but often address socially critical topics and contemporary problems such as corruption or the lack of real communication in the so-called information society. A very well-known work of Jim Avignon is a mural on the Berlin Wall, which he first created in 1991 and then painted over in 2013 with the support of several art students without permission. Although this action had a media impact, it also divided people’s minds, as the mural from 1991 stood under monumental protection.
As a musician he is known under the name “Neoangin”. He has already released several albums.
