The URBAN NATION Museum presents an artistic program in public space that goes beyond the current exhibition LOVE LETTERS TO THE CITY.

Graffiti has always been more than just graffiti, colorful trains or painted walls. Like any subculture that emerges in social hotspots, it offers a place of retreat for those who need it. A safe space, a kind of parallel society that functions away from the imposed norms.

20 Kindergarten kids painted a tunnel at Sandstraße 64 together with Fresh A.I.R. Artist Maria Brudașcă.

Anyone passing by Sandstraße 64 is greeted by a cheerful and colorful forest. On September 27 and 28, 2023, around 20 children between the ages of 4 and 6, under the guidance of artists Oana Maria Pop and Zuzanna Odolczyk, created a tunnel wall that brightens the day of every passerby. Both artists, who hail from Romania and Poland, are currently living and working in Berlin for a year as fellows of the Fresh A.I.R. residency program #8.

As part of the new URBAN NATION group exhibition “Loneliness and Other False Friends”, URBAN NATION presents a graffiti workshop with Honey Beebs entitled “Each One Teach One”.

The Urban Nation Museum presents a programme that goes beyond the current group exhibition ”Loneliness and Other False Friends”. In this programme some of Berlin’s most renowned artists, namely: Caro Pepe, Devita, Honey Beebs, Lake and Mate created a series of murals, the C-Walls, that address the exhibition theme in and around Bülowstraße.
