June 17th – 19th 2022 | around the URBAN NATION Museum

For the opening celebration of the exhibition “TALKING… & OTHER BANANA SKINS”, the UNARTIG – Street & Art Festival will take place around the museum. The program includes 17 murals designed by 21 artists, workshops and performances by artists such as YOANN BOURGEOIS, as well as guided urban art tours through the neighborhood of the URBAN NATION Museum. There will be discussion panels, street food, music and much more.

The STIFTUNG BERLINER LEBEN, organizer and initiator of the Stadtraum!Plus program and the URBAN NATION Museum, is linking social and artistic projects for Berlin’s residential neighborhoods with streetart and contemporary art. Here are some impressions of the floating murals.

6.30 – 7.15 pm     Music by Cile

Cile started out making beats in her bedroom. Influenced by classic music, she quickly developed an unhealthy obsession for synths, distortion and all things electronically. On stage she creates immersive sound-worlds to tell her story in a unique, personal way.

8 – 10 pm             Music by Souly & Matt Mendo

Souly, a Berlin native by choice, has collaborated with various German artists* such as Nugat, Yael, Edo Saiya, Mo$art and others. Matt Mendo is a Berlin-based producer with Spanish/Ecuadorian roots. His sound tends to be melancholic, chord-based and thoughtful.
