On October 27, 2023, we celebrate the opening of the final exhibition of our 8th year of the Fresh A.I.R. scholarship programme. Twelve artists from eight European countries have dedicated themselves for ten months to this year’s topic LINGUISTIC XPEDITION. They investigated the act of speaking as a constitutive element of human perception and communication. The artistic exploration ranges from aspects of everyday language use, verbal language actions, language thinking and language action to the structural power of language.
Colorful, loud and impressive, the artists show with their sculptures, paintings, illustrations, photographs, installations, drawings and audiovisual contributions that communication can be ambiguous and onomatopoeic, obscure and distort, and also fail.

Fresh A.I.R. #8 | OPEN HOUSE
After a successful OPEN HOUSE on the occasion of the Long Night of Museums in August, the 12 artists of the current 8th year of the artist residency programme Fresh A.I.R. will provide an insight into their project work and their artistic creations in a second edition. On three floors above the URBAN NATION Museum, interested visitors can experience the whole range of their creative output, talk directly to the artists and learn more about the individual projects on this year’s topic LINGUISTIC XPEDITION and beyond. A unique opportunity that is offered exclusively on this weekend.
