Urban Sketch Circle: Letters & Beats with Dejoe & Guest
- COLLABORATION
- UN MUSEUM EVENT
- July 31, 2026
Dive into the world of urban sketching and style writing: In Dejoe’s “Sketch Circle,” you’ll work alongside him and other artists from the graffiti scene to design letters, styles, and motifs. Step by step, you’ll receive tips and feedback from these artists and learn how to develop your own unique style from your initial sketches.
Dejoe is a legend of Berlin’s hip-hop and graffiti scene and has been shaping stylewriting worldwide for over 30 years. His pieces can be found from Brazil to Siberia, at festivals, in workshops, and in exhibitions around the globe. But Dejoe isn’t just a writer: As a DJ, he provides the soundtrack for your sketching flow and bridges the visual and musical forms of expression in hip-hop culture.
In the workshop, the artists share their approaches, offer insights into composition, proportion, and expression, and teach the fundamentals of an art form that has shaped urban spaces for decades. The focus is not only on technique, but also on creative exchange, experimentation, and the joy of developing one’s own style.
Whether you’re young or old, alone or with family and friends, with or without prior experience, everyone is invited to join in, give it a try, and find their own style.
