MURAL MADNESS in May – 9 international Artists / 7 awesome days / 5 huge ONE WALLS

Welcome to Mural Madness in May – this month will be awesome. As one of the many partners of the Berlin Mural Festival and as a non-profit organization, we will make the city a bit more colorful and ringing in Berlin’s Art Summer!

Curated by our director Yasha Young, we have managed to win some of the most well-known street artists for this unique event. True to our motto for the year 2018 “UNity”, nine of the most renowned artists will put their individual stamp, in collaboration or solo, on five facades of houses and turn gray walls into impressive works of art.

For exclusive pictures and insights follow us on our official Instagram account.

Daily updates and a detailed summary can be found on our official Facebook Fanpage.

We are very happy that the following artists are going to work for URBAN NATION from May 13 to May 19:

CROSSOVER #1 – TELMO MIEL & JAMES BULLOUGH

The two Dutchmen Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzmann will meet the American artist James Bullough, who has lived in Berlin for many years. All three combine the passion for monumental murals. We are curious what the Trio Murale conjures up together!

CROSSOVER #2 – SNIK & NUNO

Portugal meets Britain, stencil art meets painting or in other words: The duo behind SNIK shares with Nuno Viegas a façade in the heart of Berlin. No matter what and how – it will certainly be unique!

ONE WALL – ONE ARTIST – ONE MESSAGE / ELLE

We look forward to the still empty wall, which we reserved for the Australian graffiti icon ELLE. Let yourself be surprised, because her current works – collages of strong women, elements of flora and fauna, combined with classical painting and contemporary pop culture – can only be expected as a unique mural!

ONE WALL – ONE ARTIST – ONE MESSAGE / MILLO

Huge, slightly surreal Murals – sometimes over several house walls, lovingly painted with child-like characters – are the hallmark of the Italian artist. We provide him with a beautiful, large playground and look forward to one of his innocent, white beings.
