On September 13, 2024, the exhibition "Love Letters to the City", curated by Michelle Houston, opens at URBAN NATION. It pays homage to urban spaces and encourages reflection on the role of art in shaping our collective urban experience. The exhibition examines the transformative potential of public art and explores the methods and motivations behind such works, as well as their social impact. By going beyond the confines of the museum, the exhibition encourages visitors to re-evaluate public space, engage with public space and discover their connection to the city. ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
With the Fresh A.I.R. (Artist-In-Residence) program, the Stiftung Berliner Leben awards grants to European artists who deal with socio-political and urban issues. The funding enables the scholarship recipients to absorb new inspiration during their stay and develop their artistic skills further while being integrated into Berlin’s cultural life. At the same time, the artists give Berlin residents insight into their perspectives and skills, during workshops and events.
