Fresh A.I.R. #9 UNSUPERVISED

This was the opening

On November 01, 2024, we celebrated the opening of the final exhibition of our 9th year of the Fresh A.I.R. scholarship programme. Twelve artists from eight European countries have dedicated themselves for ten months to this year’s topic “UNSUPERVISED: Childhood Dreams & Fantasy Rebels”. In the show, our artists celebrate play and imagination as creative forces and culture forming factors and explore the theme with diverse artistic approaches. They emphasise childhood and being a child in all its facets and show the light-hearted side as well as the darker episodes.

About 200 guests were greeted by our Chairman of the Board, Dr. Hans-Michael Brey. The Artistic Director and Curator of the Fresh A.I.R. programme, Janine Arndt, introduced everyone to the context of the exhibition. After a toast to the successful opening of the exhibition and the conclusion of this year’s class, the guests took the opportunity for a personal exchange with those responsible and the artists.

Special Event: OPEN HOUSE @ Fresh A.I.R.

The exhibition is just one part of the diverse cosmos of artistic expression of our scholarship holders! On 02 November 20204, visitors were able to gain exclusive insights into the projects and working methods of our scholarship holders during the OPEN HOUSE event. In personal conversations with the artists, they could ask questions and learn the stories behind the artworks.
